I. CORPORATE UPDATE

We would like to thank you for your continued support. In this time of sadness and uncertainty we have all had the opportunity to reflect on what matters most in life. For us the answer is family, friends, and our customers. You are an important part of our lives. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you who have been personally affected by the recent tragedies.

Digital North continues to experience steady growth. We are pleased to announce that we now support over a hundred business websites! While this is not a huge number compared to some of our competitors, it shows that we have a commitment to grow Digital North in this ecomonic downturn. Digital North is winning because we provide experienced customer service and the latest hosting technologies. We provide these services with integrity and in a manner that is fiscally responsible.

We firmly believe that Digital North is one of the most flexible hosting providers in the industry. Earning that title is easy. We simply provide the services that our customers want.

II. "NIMBA" WORM ALERT

A dangerous new computer virus is attacking computer systems across the world this week. The computer virus, called the "Nimba Worm" attacks Microsoft Windows computers and specifically takes advantage of known exploits.

We encourage you and your technical staff to review the Microsoft security recommendations located at http://www.microsoft.com/security/

The Nimba Worm targets Microsoft Windows servers running the IIS webserver application. Digital North uses the IIS application to host dozens of corporate websites. Digital North staff took the necessary steps to prevent this virus several months ago.

The Nimba Worm generates a significant amount of "noise" on the Internet as it tries to propogate itself. The worm spreading process has slowed down Internet traffic considerably on parts of the net. We are hearing reports that the virus is slowing down in the United States.

We continue to monitor the situation closely, and you will be notified immediately as new information becomes available.

III. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING

Digital North will engage its new Big Brother network monitoring system over the next two weeks. The Big Brother system will monitor our hosting services on a continuous basis. The system will alert us to network, server, or application problems within our hosting network.

Big Brother is an "open source" network monitoring package developed by a group of Canadian developers. Big Brother is widely used in technology and telecommunications firms across the world. We selected Big Brother because of its reliability, large server deployment, and cost of ownership.

The system will eventually allow us to provide service quality reports that show the performance and availability of services on a monthly basis. The key is that the system will allow us to identify and resolve problems before our customers are affected.
